Living

A house that does not overwhelm

Six design principles that make the difference between a dwelling and a home.

Acoustics

Impact sound insulation between all homes, soft ceilings and textile in the corridors. No echo, no hearing the neighbours walk.

Light

As much daylight as possible, dimmable artificial light without flicker, no fluorescent tubes. Every room adjustable on its own.

Colour and material

Calm, matt tones. No high gloss, no busy patterns, natural materials wherever possible.

A way out

Every shared room has a second exit and a quiet alcove, so you are never stuck in a situation.

Zoning

From loud to quiet: café and entrance on the street, workshops in the middle, homes on the quiet side.

Your own call

You decide who comes in and when. Control over your own sensory world is not a favour; it is the starting point.

Support

Support that moves with you

Four levels. The bar shows how much support belongs to each — from someone nearby day and night to one conversation a week.

Intensive
someone nearby day and night 100%

Daily structure, personal care, help with tension and behaviour.

Regular
daily contact 62%

Fixed support moments. Help with finances, the household and appointments.

Light
one conversation a week 26%

On call through the app, and joining the programme whenever you want to.

Practising
two weeks to six months 45%

A temporary stay in the practice flat: trying out independent living, with a safety net.

Moving on is the point

Someone who moves from intensive to light frees up a place and shows that it works. Someone who falls back does not lose their home.

Housing separate from care

Your tenancy stands apart from your care agreement

Anyone who needs less care keeps their home. Anyone who changes care provider does not have to move. The basic rent stays deliberately below the housing benefit threshold, so that living here is affordable on a Wajong disability benefit.

Spectrum will only happen if enough people say they want it

That is not a figure of speech: municipalities and funders literally ask us for numbers. Signing up commits you to nothing and there is no intake procedure.
